Why Crystal Poke Balls Are the Best Gift Idea For Pokemon Collectors
March 26, 2026Every Sunday Night I sit down coffee in hand and I do my fun little game of imagining weird things on my desk: like uh an imitation crystal Pokeball. Not the kind that captures Pokemon but one that crystal balls the upcoming week – deadlines distractions dips in energy and most importantly wins.
Of course I don’t actually do that. But I do understand that the act of imagining this is similar to how I understand productivity.
I like to imagine the upcoming week. Which meetings might end up running over? Which tasks am I going to have to focus super hard on? Where am I going to put things off? I like to think of the answer to these questions and then go through the week.
It sounds simple but it really does change everything.
I like to think of something for each day. Mondays are good for planning and doing small tasks and then later in the week for large focus tasks. This fake Pokéball of mine has me ready for large tasks in my mind. I do things like block large amounts of time and reduce the number of things that need to be done and then adjust my expectations.
Something really powerful about planning is knowing what might go wrong. If I know that afternoon energy dips are a thing I put the hard work in the morning. I think predicting things is really about minimizing the amount of things that are left that are unknown.
In the end don’t forget to look back. What did my surprisingly inaccurate prediction go right about? This tells me how to plan better in the future.
It’s not about having a magic spell that can give you productivity. It’ll come with a system that allows you to think in advance. My crystal Pokeball is fake but the focus it provides is not fake and it can change a reactiv week into an intentional week.
